1" corner split half castle lol ok 2" edit: would it be any stronger if you made the inside square section a bit smaller to compensate for the narrower piece of wood exiting the joint? I guess it would only make a difference if it was glued. Yes, im new at woodworking

A dovetail with a built in dowel? Im not a woodworker, and all these comments saying "ins so weak" the wood is literally supporting itself. And the grain looks super strong. Ive only made one creation when i was 5, a wooden ferris wheel.

I don’t like it, why put the cross members so close to the edge of the leg, centre it where it would be stronger.

Oh I see, I can definitely see its perks especially with how easy it should be to make, I’m a little worried about strength but I can also see how it would be pretty strong. I can’t help with the name though
