Thanks, that was well explained. I guess I use the sweep cut for everything and yes, I run into problems with fibres
Thank you Sharon for your precious video-tutorials!
Very informative! I realize now that my techniques were causing most of my issues.
Your pyramid is a tetrahedron :p
Great video though.
Thank you
Idk if it’s the wood blocks I got with my kit or if the knives are just severely under-sharpened. But nothing I do cuts the wood as easily and cleanly like in these videos. I’ve spent like 2 hours whittling away at one block and making probably nowhere near as much progress as I should have.
This is a way more helpful tutorial than a lot of other ones I found, thanks.
greay tutorial. thanks

Good morning, can someone tell me the name of the tool you use to make the cuts? I want to buy one and I do not know how I know what its name is, if you know of a special brand that is good I would appreciate it.

Great introductory video, I’ve recently taken up the hobby and this was an awesome short and sweet explanation that other videos took 20-30 minutes to describe. Bonus points because you remind me of my crafty grandma. Excellent work!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I hope the tradition and practice lives on.

Love to see her try that with the oak we have around here… she’s basically carving plaster of paris. Where are the real wood carvers???
Best video for beginner
I will try to do it with Woodglut plans.
I don’t know how you get those pretty little pyramids.
What wood is this?
Hi there, I’m brand new to whittling at the age of 62. As if life wasn’t hard enough I needed something new lol.
My husband says old folks used to whittle to take their minds off of things. I just got my tools last night, I’ll try to let you know if I could do it.
Great!๐
I know you can find solutions to this problem in the Woodprix plans.
Thank you ma’am
