I need to laminate some cedar strips that have to be wet in order to bend. Anybody have experience with this? Going to try Titebond 3. What do you think?

Why put on so much glue you need to wipe, it would seem, half of it off?

A cleaner which contains amyl acetate is capable of removing liquid nails, lacquers, polyurethane stains, and a whole lot more.
Products far more harder to remove than titebond 3.
Test fabric first for damage before soaking it in the cleaner.
If no damage, soak for 30 minutes, agitate with gloved hands, soak another 10 minutes if any glue remains.
Rinse in water before running through the washing machine.

I have a joint on a chair that I can only spread apart 1/8 of an inch. I have cleaned the areas with sandpaper slid into the gap.I am using a bar clap to squeeze it together with wood glue(Titebond) attempt #1 and Gorilla clear glue the 2nd & 3rd attempt. It keeps pulling apart. The dowels are not securing it. Should I put a screw in it to secure it & then cover the hole with a wood plug.?
