My wife and I put sticky notes on the mirror for each other. We leave them up until it gets too full to see our reflections. Nothing super sappy, just a “love you” or “have a great day” but it has really added to our relationship even after 20 years of her putting up with me. You two rock, and thanks for the ideas!

I’m a widow, for going on 8 years now, and the thing you said that jumped out at me the most was enjoying when Matt holds your hand. My husband was a hand holder! In the car, going for a walk, watching TV… And while he gave me many very nice and thoughtful gifts over the years, what I truly miss are all those little things – our shared habits, like holding hands, early mornings together with coffee and the morning news, or on the porch or walking out to check on the garden – while holding hands!
