Great idea with the magnets, just love it.
Thanks Colin. I always learn so much.
Thank you for the great tips, Colin. I use many jigs at school where I teach. I paint them blue and that reminds me not to throw them away when cleaning, plus the kids know they are not just scrap pieces laying around. Of course, in your shop you can leave them unpainted or color code them.
AWESOME!!!! I can use so many of your

Thank you Colin. Keep up your great stuff please 😊
Great tips!
Great Hacks. But being new to your site, you talked about some foam. You only mentioned that you talked about it in a early hack not where to get it. I went back to find it but couldn’t. So could you please tell me where you purchased it?? Thanks
Foam sheets are sold at Dollar Tree. Shalom
Great tips, Thank you so much.
I can use so many of your hacks for all my projects (not just wood!) Thanks!
Liked the idea of attaching foam on the clamps
AWESOME!!!! I can use so many of your
Again you presented simple but effective ways to get more out of our tools.
I LOVE the toggle clamp idea. Well, really all of them. TY!
Wow…your videos are fantastic…the adhesive foam sheets…I my building big box store and all I could find were 50 rolls…where di you find yours? thanks
Why after all these years don’t the c-clamp manufacturers make clamps with timber faces
my head is blowing off my shoulders. Just recently started doing woodworking in earnest and these hacks and tips are AMAZING. I always said, if I knew what I was doing I’d be unstoppable. lol. Now I can be!
I like that stick on rubber idea, i have some left over butyl rubber pond liner I’m going to use, it’s as tough as old boots. I like the frame jig and do something similar but I’m a great fan of wedges for holding all kinds of stuff and opposing wedges to give parallel surfaces. I have used opposing wedges to make and adjustable thickness spacer. I was a toolmaker at one time in my life and have a set of what is called adjustable parallels, they are so handy. I bet you could come up with a hundred ideas for wedges and opposing wedges.

Wow I love the dowel peg idea, I think that’s pretty neat. So is the one at the beginning of the video with the scrap piece of plywood and it has a magnet on it, I think that’s pretty clever.
Your bar clamps are designed to reverse the ends to make push clamps out of them my name is Bernie & I am new at watching. I love your shows Tks much
Very good from Chile
c’est super bien ,je vais voir avec du velcro
Gostei muito das dicas.
Faz mais projetos!
Sou brasileira
hey there , i paint cars, and all our metal parts , fenders , hoods, and the such all ship with foam, or rubber anti bump things, we usually toss them , just ask for some, i have a whole drawer full, and they work great for transitions between clamps and wood, they come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, and they are free, so cut them to whatever shape you need, the shops would be glad to get rid of them
Loving the videos!! Are your fingers magnetic? 🤣🤣
Took me a while to find again. The toggle clamp idea is my favourite!
Great video on clamping hacks. Just wanted to add that I use stick-on felt pads (kind that are used on chair legs) on the jaws of my flat bar clamps.
wd 40 is good for loosening tight threads on bar clamps
I love your hacks. I’ve used a few of them, most recently the sandpaper hacks. I like how you talk and act like a real person and not some stuffy "Professional Carpenter". I can relate to you. I look forward to more ideas.
Awesome tips for us newbie woodworkers. Thanks Colin.
This guy is a genius. So many ideas!
Thank you so much for your video. I can now replace my bessy f clamps pads. Almost all of them are broken. I dont know why
Great channel and great tips. Thanks.
What would you recommend for clamping really long boards? I wanna glue like an almost 2 meter 4×4 to another one…
Thank you! I have already experienced all of the clamp problems. I like your solutions.
Thanks Colin. I really appreciate your time and your ideas.
great tips as always! Thanks for sharing!
You missed my favorite tip. Put a compression spring on the back of the squeeze clamp (or bar clamp). It allows you to with one finger (thumb) release it and close the gap without need of a second hand or a lot of squeezing.
Have you considered making a stand for a C clamp so you can stand two or more of them up when gluing two boards together. A simple block of wood with a groove cut in top should suffice.
well done sir, this was very informative
do you ever do any wood turning videos on a lathe?
Great tips. I always learn something from your channel. Thank you very much.
Thanks again, love your videos
I wish we could stop calling "tips," "hacks."
