Awesome video. Is there a way the jig can be made without a drill press?

  2. Kun Lee on February 27, 2022 at 11:20 pm

That festool cord trick is genius. Ot I’m really dumb. Lol

  3. Easy Roller on February 27, 2022 at 11:21 pm

Tip my father showed me to keep paint can rims from clogging (he was a professional painter). Get a small screwdriver and hammer it through the lid all around to allow the paint to drip back into the can. The lid will seal properly every time when reapplied.

  4. Martin Farrow on February 27, 2022 at 11:21 pm

It’s a shame you do all the daft running about because your woodworking knowledge is second to none.

  5. Dale Weller on February 27, 2022 at 11:23 pm

If you remove a sticker to get rid of the adhesive use starter fluid ( ether).

  6. George Cole on February 27, 2022 at 11:25 pm

I have learned a lot from your videos. The only problem i have is the way you throw your tools around. My father always thought me to never abuse your tools NEVER! I do notice you use a lot of Festool products I’ll bet you would never abuse them…..Just sayin…Keep doing your videos, I’m retired so I’m slowly building my workshop……and so far you have shown me a lot of “stuffs” I needed to know. Thank You.

Your stain application method works very well and it also helps to get rid of the grey in my beard. Another tip I like is the magnet on my pencil. That way when I lose a pencil, I also lose a magnet. I truly enjoy your videos. 😁

I’d suggest instead of making a Playdough spout to keep the sealing area from holding finish, use a 8 penny nail to pop 3 or 4 holes in the bottom of the groove. Hammer it in a quarter of an inch, rock it around to free it up and pull it out. The material will drain back into the can, and the seal isn’t affected.

Im loving your content! Fantastic work with great tips and is straight to the point and easy to understand. Im new to wood working and would love if you could do a vid on routers from basics to advanced. I have a handheld corded router and finding a good beginners vid is near impossible….

  10. Fred Leber on February 27, 2022 at 11:27 pm

I don’t really get why you would want a random blade exposed on your work bench that you can accidentally cut yourself on when you could just use scissors

  11. Jerimiah Kent on February 27, 2022 at 11:27 pm

Most people who make culls to keep a table top flat during glue up add a slightly taper so the center is higher than the ends. I noticed you jointed yours flat. I assume this has worked for you but just wanted your thoughts on if you think adding the taper would be beneficial?

Your grinding the clamp next to a full bench off drill shavings….
You really like to play with fire…

Is your workspace directly attached to your living space?

The "beard applicator" had me laughing out loud … that’s funny!

    Great series of videos man!

  25. 69 Sound on February 27, 2022 at 11:42 pm

20:00 you can use a flat stick and a piece of cardboard. You use the cardboard to make a "U" shaped channel that acts like a bridge from the chemical can to the container you are using (at an angle). You stick the stick into the chemical (as long as it has some viscosity) and you pull it up. The chemical will form a layer around the stick. Then, you push it against the carboard channel and stick it back down. That will make the chemical to go from the stick to the channel and the clean stick to collect more chemical as it goes back into the can. It was given to me by an automotive painter.

  28. teachbearcop on February 27, 2022 at 11:44 pm

This is one of those videos that I wish I could click on the thumbs up more than once (02:15 – 03:41 – 6:35 – etc.), but then you do one of your falls or "Dad" jokes (08:40 – 18:19 – 18:45 – etc.), and I wish I could click the thumbs down more than once. If only I could skip the junk.

  29. Gianni SoZo on February 27, 2022 at 11:45 pm

THANK YOU for the CT cord tip. Mine is always coming out.

  30. Commuter Dan on February 27, 2022 at 11:47 pm

  38. Eugene Mcintyre on February 27, 2022 at 11:52 pm

Love your ability to keep it crazy yet informative

  39. brother jon grey on February 27, 2022 at 11:55 pm

Dude, make the straw suction adapter into a big mouth bottle cap that fits over your shop vac tube end

  40. billy lusk on February 27, 2022 at 11:56 pm

What was the red tape for? To keep from scratching the wood? What did you mark them with? Will glueing alone work? No need to pockethole?

  41. Paul Bledsoe on February 27, 2022 at 11:56 pm

Great tips!! On your home made panel clamps, why not make additional "slots" in the caul, so you can optimize the placement of the clamps to get good clamping force on smaller glue-ups?

  42. Jude Williams on February 27, 2022 at 11:57 pm

I think you are brilliant and your humour is 👌😂

  43. Double Tap on February 27, 2022 at 11:58 pm

Use utility knife and ruler for cutting back of sand paper lot cheaper than blades and more accurate if needed, also don’t the panel clamp boards after awhile when tightened

  44. Dee K on February 27, 2022 at 11:59 pm

I was hoping you would show us how to put a piece of licorice in your ear, just like you.
    That would be really boss!

  45. djtblizzle on February 28, 2022 at 12:03 am

Ok that intro… I was NOT ready!! 😂😂😂😂

  46. Phil R on February 28, 2022 at 12:05 am

You are pretty much a nut case, but it makes it enjoyable. I like the tips and tricks. I am truly envious of your shop, but at my age it would mostly be a waste. Anyway, its fun to watch and some of the tricks can be useful for what little wood work I will do. Thanks.
