Workshop Tour: David Haig, New Zealand Designer Maker
Last year I was fortunate to visit New Zealand was treated to a workshop tour of world renowned designer maker David Haig. David is lead tutor at the Centre For Fine Woodworking in Nelson and also teaches at the Centre for Craftsmanship in Maine, USA. Enjoyed the tour! The natural light is wonderful.
I lived not too far away in Blenheim, NZ back in 2001-2 and now happen to have a piece in the Messler Gallery (Centre for Furniture Craftsmanship) in Rockport, Maine where David teaches.

Good video,
Thank you for sharing your workshop with us David. You have a simple, healthy approach to woodwork. I’d say it it’s an inspiration to watch and listen to your thoughts on the way you approach your work. I wish you all the best. Cheers from Paris, France – a glum materialistic hell hole. Furniture is dead here. Sorry, but it’s true. I’m away very soon.
Good video, thanks for sharing!
Very nice shop! Thank you for posting!
