You Will NEVER Believe What You Can Make From a SINGLE 1×3 Board | Woodworking Project | Scrap Wood
I have a lot of scrap wood 1×3 boards in my shop. You will never believe what you can make from a scrap 1×3 wooden boards. I don’t know why it took me so long to figure this out. This is a great woodworking project you can make with your kids or as a product to sell online.

That’s nice , all you need is a fully equipped wood shop , table saw , band saw , scroll saw and a router table .
A role model of father and son.
Both are blessed π
Cool project. Please use something to hold your work piece when routing. You were doing climb cuts with your fingers very close to the cutter very dangerous.
Great sword!! My son is a massive manga/anime fan so I made him a sword for his bday. He loves it.
I can’t believe all the awesome tools you got at your disposal. Great video.
lmao kids are smarter than us "Shouldn’t we have used gloves?"…. "Yeah, probably"
If you were going to make a weapon, you could’ve just put a nail in the board lol
Thereβs nothing better than being a dad.
That kid is smart. "shouldn’t we just put on gloves"
The best wholesome video I have seen on YouTube in years.
Thatβs great! My son and I do the same thing. He usually has ideas while Iβm building. I love taking time to join in considering how much time after work I spend building my momβs home. Thanks for showing me this. Never miss these moments no matter how busy you are. His childhood only happens once.
My made something similar for me when I was younger. Love this!
Please always use a push stick even for the band saw. My grandfather lost some fingers and a friend of mine recently also. Think it is great the way you include your son.
omg i cant believe
Dangit! Didn’t know I needed paracord. Back to the store… π
Yeah you can make it as long as you have hundreds of pounds of equipment..
Tis but a flesh wound.
Tell me and I’ll forget. Teach me and I may remember. Involve me and I’ll learn.
A good video that becomes lovely at the end.
Great project thanks for sharing
Great work! Really love that bandsaw fence man! So beautiful π»
How many fingers will this guy have next year? I say less than 10
Scrap wood and a multi thousand dollar work shop. Way to go.
Awesome! I’ve gotta admit, I’m having some power tool envy about now hehe
You’re building a relationship with your son. That’s the best thing you could ever build with a 1×3 piece of wood π
If itβs long enough, I can make a house out of it. If itβs too short, I canβt make anything more than a bookmark.
A board and a 1000.00 saw.
The world needs more Fathers like this one and it would be a better place.
Amen,,worth every piece of equipment you have,,the smile and memory of making something with your son,,, especially a sword,,I always made my 3 boys light sabers,,,and playing with them for hours,,hiding and running through the woods, man, priceless
100% awesome
what’s that tool around 3:50?
This makes me want to try again for a son.
Love how the boy double tapped him at the end lol
My uncle made a plane with me 18 years ago and a car and a sword amd such
Well, you’re a safety nightmare in a shop. But cool build and idea. Should probably consider how you use your tools and the terrible position you put your hands in most of the time you’re working. Set a good example for your kid and ensure you can continue to do things like this with him.
little project
I never would have thought you could turn a long straight board into a sword! I was thinking maybe a table or a Ferris wheel, but a sword? Wow!
Canβt wait til my sons of age to be working with me in the shop! Heβs one and a half so a little while to go πππ€£
haha min 7:06, not sure the ancient blacksmiths would recommend that methodology for putting the guard on the hilt… great video thanks!
The love of a child and the love of a father on display. π₯°
You just brought me back to many, many years ago when I used to do projects with my kids. Thanks for the memories!
AHHHH You make memories with it
Good job π π
You’ll never believe what you can make from a single piece of wood and $1500.00 worth of tools! Yeah actually I would!
That’s awesome!
That’s some of the best moments for me as well, wood working with the kids.
I never have had any children of my own, never really knew my father. Excalibur .
POV: your looking for a comment not about his son or him being a dad
Great work, made swords for my two boys and quickly realized I had to make one to defend myself! We have epic battles now π
Man I dunno if I could make these for my boys. They’d eventually be hitting each other over the head. π€£
Have two daughters and I canβt wait til they get to the age we can do project together my oldest is 3 and sheβs already saying she wants to be a builder like dad
Haha your kid aint playing around!
